BIO
Magdalena Berger (AT) works with site-specific installations at the intersection of body and space. In these experimental setups, materials serve as atmospheric carriers of meaning: latex as a membrane between protection and vulnerability, red wine as a trace of time, while motors, light, and sound act as extensions of the physical space. These elements combine into situations that unfold their effect in relation to the specific site and become physically perceptible beyond the visual.
Currently completing a Master’s in Sculptural Conceptions / Ceramics at the University of Arts Linz, board member of galerie fünfzigzwanzig and member of the Salzburger Kunstverein, Berger has exhibited at Lentos Art Museum Linz, Salzburger Kunstverein, and Kunstraum Traklhaus. Works are represented in the collections of the State of Salzburg and the State of Upper Austria.
